If I would like to set-up the representative office in Thailand. The registered capital of head office is less than 2 million baht. Do the government can be accepted? and do I need to bring in the capital to Thailand follow the registered capital of head office or I still need to bring in the capital to Thailand at least 2 million?
Panwa: Please note that regardless of the capital amount of the head office, it does not affect the approval of the registration form. However, the representative office in Thailand must bring in the capital according to the following structure:
Within the first 3 months: At least 25% of the minimum capital must be remitted.
• Within 1 year: At least 50% of the minimum capital must be remitted.
• In the 2nd and 3rd years: At least 25% of the minimum capital must be remitted each year.
• Within 3 years: 100% of the minimum capital must be fully remitted.
