I have set up the representative office since last year, and I understand that I can use the registration number shown on the certificate to submit taxes with the Revenue Department directly. However, after my staff tried to submit the taxes, the tax officer informed us that my representative office registration number is not in the system. So, what do I need to do for this?

Panwa: Please note that normally, when you set up a representative office in Thailand, some Revenue Department areas may not be able to access information directly from the Department of Business Development system. For this case, your representative office needs to apply for a Tax Identification Number (TIN) again at the Revenue Department office where your representative office is located. After obtaining the TIN, then you can use this number to proceed with tax submissions.
