How different between CPD and CPA in Thailand?
Panwa: CPD mean Continuing profession development means academic for development in accounting but for CPA means Certified Public Accountant is an auditor who having the license for auditing in Thailand whereas having 3 year or 3,000 hours training in as assistant to auditor and have to pass 6 subjects consisted of: 1. Accounting 1, 2. Accounting-22, 3-Auditing, 4- Auditing 2

Thanks for sharing this info about CPD vs CPA in Thailand. I’ve been researching accounting certifications in Southeast Asia and this clears up some confusion I had.
Quick question though – you mentioned CPA requires passing 6 subjects but only listed 4 (Accounting 1, Accounting 2, Auditing 1, Auditing 2). What are the other two subjects? I’m assuming maybe Tax and Business Law, but wanted to confirm before I cite this in my research.
Also, is the 3,000 hours training requirement strictly as an assistant to an auditor, or can some of that experience come from working in accounting firms in other capacities? I know in some countries there’s flexibility around what counts toward the experience requirement.
