Resolving Holds Due to Outstanding Property Taxes

If you find that you cannot register any transactions or transfer rights for your land, building, or condo at the Land Office, it is usually because the system has placed a suspension on registration due to unpaid property taxes. To lift this restriction, the Land Office requires the owner to settle all tax arrears in full and present an official “Letter of Cancellation of Registration Suspension.”

This clearance document must be requested directly from the specific District Office (Khet) or Municipality (Thesaban) where the property is located. An example of such document is provided below.
